Turn your discoveries into a championship team

Draft rookies, develop your players and build a contender in this baseball management simulation. As general manager, you set lineups, assign pitching roles, negotiate contracts and manage club finances. Watch games play out without controlling the players directly, and delegate routine jobs to the computer when you want to focus elsewhere.

Keep a hidden prospect up your sleeve

Choose one of up to three prospects uncovered by your scout to bring into the draft. An injury may have kept a player out of a major tournament, or a practice game may have revealed an overlooked strength. Compare their backgrounds, scouting reports and special abilities before making your choice.
Other clubs cannot draft your chosen hidden prospect, so you can pick him in any round. Regular prospects show how many clubs have discovered them and how reliable their scouting reports are. Secure a sought-after player first, then decide when to pick your own discovery.

Choose how each player develops

Development trees, upgrade amounts and ways to earn points vary from player to player. Meet conditions through playing time, training and other achievements, then spend your points on new nodes.
Choose branches as you progress toward one of four endpoints. Improve abilities or training efficiency, learn special abilities, or turn a player into a late bloomer. Rare gold abilities can also emerge over a long career.

Use the numbers to build your lineup

• Lineups and pitching: Compare abilities, results, defensive suitability and fatigue. Move players between the first team and reserves to give young players a chance.
  
• Recruitment and contracts: Strengthen your roster through the draft, free agency, trades and overseas signings, while balancing player salaries against your budget.
  
• Player evaluation: Look beyond batting average and ERA with metrics including WAR and UZR.

Manage the club's finances and its surroundings

Tickets, sponsorships, broadcast rights, stadium improvements and city investment all play a part. Spend on the roster now, or invest in future income? Check your finances before deciding.

Make the league your own

Start with the included fictional league. Change team names, colors, logos and player portraits in-game, or import your own images. Adjust team counts, season length and rules such as the designated hitter. Documentation is included for advanced settings and importing external data.

Choose a player-name style

In the launch version, starting a new game lets you choose Japanese, English, Korean, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese-style player names, or keep the original names. This applies to domestic players and future draft prospects without changing their abilities, nationality or portraits.
