Dub Party is a dubbing party game for voice actors of every skill level: you replace every voice in a video with your own. Make a fandub of a scene everybody knows, redub a meme, or turn a cartoon into your own abridged parody. Pick a scene from the built-in Steam Workshop browser or import your own video, cast the roles, record one line at a time, then gather everyone for the premiere. Play alone, pass the mic around on the couch, or go online with up to 16 players in a private room or a public Steam lobby.
Pick or make a scene
Browse community scenes inside the game, or import a video from your computer.
Let the machine do the work
Optional Auto Dub separates the dialogue, transcribes it and suggests who speaks when, all on your own PC. Check the result, fix anything it missed and save the scene to your shelf.
Claim your roles
Pick a character yourself or shuffle the cast.
Voice acting in the booth
Hear the original, perform your line, play it back and go again until it sounds right, or exactly as wrong as you wanted. Pick a voice effect or nudge the timing when the joke needs it.
Watch the premiere
Every take comes together in one finished dub. Throw reactions at the screen, roll the bloopers reel, then save the video, or a copy small enough to post on Discord.
Play your way
- Solo: voice every role yourself, or pick the ones you want and leave the rest in their original voices.
- Couch party: up to 8 people on one computer, passing one mic around. Friends scan the QR code on the screen and claim their roles on their phones, no app needed. The phones have to be on the same Wi-Fi as the PC.
- Online party: up to 16 players over Steam, with voice chat. Make a private room for your friends or browse public lobbies and join other players. The host picks the scene and Dub Party gets it to everyone in the room.
Five games for your room
- Classic Dub: everyone claims roles and records their lines, then the room watches the result.
- Dub Along: the scene line by line, each take recorded while everyone watches and listens.
- Improv Dub: nobody hears or reads the original. Everyone makes up their own role's lines.
- Solo Showdown: everybody dubs the whole scene alone, then the room watches every dub and votes for the best.
- Sound Telephone: write a prompt, perform the one you get, guess the sound you hear. The chains play at the end.
The host can add room rules like First take only, Hidden captions, Time limit and Shuffle cast. Classic Dub plays everywhere; the other four are for online rooms. Classic Dub, Dub Along and Improv Dub take up to 16 players online; Solo Showdown and Sound Telephone take up to 8.
