Idle Abyss Princesses is a single-player idle loot RPG combining pixel-art battles, illustrated heroines and a story hidden beneath the dungeon. Choose a heroine, build around her skills, talents, legendary effects and sets, then let her fight automatically. Return to sort the spoils, refine your build and take on the next boss.
Open the full window to study your gear, or switch to a transparent, always-on-top desktop widget to keep your companion nearby while you work or relax.
Four heroines, twelve build paths
Each heroine has her own weapons, skills, talents, class legendaries and sets.
- Warrior: whirlwind bleeding, ground-shaking control or low-health berserker builds. Fight up close and turn sustained pressure or danger into damage.
- Mage: falling stars and fire, freezing and shattering, or chaining lightning. Shape the battlefield with elemental skills.
- Paladin: judgment hammers, consecrated light or a defensive retaliation build. Combine holy damage, blocking and counterattacks.
- Hunter: arrow barrages, a flock of falcons or explosive traps. Cover the battlefield, fight alongside companions or set off chain reactions.
Each heroine has 6 skills with 2 rune variants per skill. Unlock skill slots as you level up and equip up to 3 skills at once. Talent choices, core nodes and capstones change how your combat loop works.
Finding loot is only the beginning
Fill 12 equipment slots, from weapons and off-hands to two rings and an amulet. Compare affixes, combine legendary effects, complete set bonuses and pursue Ancient and Primal gear. Balance damage, survivability, attack speed, cooldowns and item finding.
Salvage unwanted gear and improve your next build through enhancement, enchanting, sockets and gems. Enhancement reaches +15. Two equipment presets help you prepare for different challenges, while account-wide shared storage gives useful drops a home on another character.
Extract legendary effects into the Cube and equip them in weapon, armor and jewelry slots. After level 70, continue earning Paragon levels and assign points across offense, defense, utility and rift panels.
20 Oddities, each with a catch
Oddities offer unusual advantages with meaningful drawbacks. They can alter your attacks, resource use and farming rhythm.
- Cat Gloves increase attack speed but remove critical hits.
- The Bell of Silence speeds up basic attacks but seals your skills.
- Ember Contract improves boss damage at the expense of damage against regular enemies.
- Glass Cloak strengthens skills while making incoming hits more dangerous.
- The Merchant's Abacus scales damage with the gold you hold, making saving part of your build.
Collect them, experiment with combinations and decide which costs your build can afford.
Ten regions to explore, farm and overcome
Journey through crypts, swamps, ice caverns, infernal depths, an ancient castle and the void. Continue into a luminous fungal garden, an ossuary sanctuary, a mirrored tide palace and the Ark's heart. Each region brings its own enemies, boss and atmosphere, with dedicated music for Acts 7–10.
Targeting and configured skills run automatically, but progress requires more than waiting. Boss telegraphs and elite modifiers change what threatens you. Stay at a reached stage to farm, improve resistances and recovery, then return with a stronger build. Higher difficulties include Nightmare, Hell and Torment.
Timed rifts, weekly rules and three expeditions
Standard rifts begin with a 90-second base time limit. Defeat enemies to fill the progress meter, face the guardian, collect rewards and push higher. Weekly rifts rotate rules such as disabled life steal, extra elites or tougher enemies, giving familiar builds new problems to solve.
Three expeditions take you to a dragon's skyborne remains, an alien nest and an ascension tower. Each has its own boss mechanics and story, including breath attacks, changing armor and orbital scans.
25 story entries across four intertwined journeys
The Abyss is an Ark preserving extinct civilizations, their names, memories and unfinished promises.
The game contains 25 story entries: a prologue, 20 numbered chapters, 3 expedition stories and an epilogue. Some entries are class-specific; an individual heroine can read 17–18 entries, and other characters reveal different pieces of the whole. Unlock scenes as you progress, choose responses in conversations and see key moments through story illustrations.
A companion who reacts to her adventure
Breathing, blinking, casting, taking damage, celebrating victories and dozing off: the heroine portrait responds to battle. Progression appearances, dialogue bubbles, pixel effects and regional music accompany each farming session.
Camp assignments give your other characters tasks. The capsule machine turns resources earned through adventuring into gear and supplies. Manage multiple character saves and develop your account through shared storage and collections.
How to play
- Single-player, with mouse and keyboard controls. Supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese.
- Switch between a full window and a transparent, always-on-top desktop widget.
- Battles continue while minimized. The full game grants no progress while closed or while the computer sleeps; camp tasks also require the game to be running.
- Progress is saved locally. The current macOS version is for Apple Silicon.
